Dinner? NOT!

OK, I put up with a lot out here. However, I will not put up with THIS! No, he wasn't made into soup, he simply no longer lives here!

The Pups!

Here's Dixie! She really is coming around great. Amazing the change that happens when they are fed proper and wormed. She even smiles now.

The terrible two! Yes, they are looking for sheep in the field. Too bad, I had moved them and the pups forgot.

Yes, the brown soft eye will manipulate you in a heartbeat! Don't be fooled....

Ah Bree, nice and calm. Wrong! She's been on R&R due to a muscle pull. Well, let me tell you this b***** will blow your ear drums! A friend was laughing at it "aw, she is just telling you how much she wants to work", yeah, right, not happening, she is actually telling me "hey b***** what the hell do you think you're doing going into the field without ME".

Green Fields!

Water

This creek view is just so serene. I love to sit on the bridge and just relax watching it flow. With all the rain we've had lately I thought it would be much rougher.

This is the "spring". It's it too cool! Someone blocked off an area around the spring and you can see how clear the water is coming up from the ground! They then cut out a small area which allows the water to run out into the creek and then to the stream in the picture above.

And as a result of all the rain we've had we have colors just exploding here!

Color

The beginning of spring!

A very new "bud" and they are everywhere!

40 Days!

Until Nap comes home!

I still see him like this though.

Meet Doc!

OK, here's a proper (sort of) introduction for Doc!

Doc is one of those good ole boys, you ask and he will do whatever you need done. He is also one of those that needs only be told "once".

"Once" I told him it was fine to lay on the bed, just once. Now, when you can't find him you need to check the bed. According to Doc, it could get up and leave so he was just "holding it" till someone else relieved him!

Doc came from a friend in Alabama. He's fit in here like a pair of worn in leather gloves. Seriously, even Bree adores him! He's one of only a few dogs that can get in "her" van and she doesn't go ape shit over it. He's a nice quiet unassuming fellow. Just don't forget to give him lots of room on the bed!

The Ram

One of the new sheep here. He's a 2 yo St Croix ram. The folks I got him from basically kept him as a pet. Yes, a "pet". He's quite friendly and easy enough to get along with.

How do others do it?

I mean how does one keep up with a blog?? I don't have the time or if I do I hate my slow dial up!! So, here is an update for those friends of mine calling me "mean" for not keeping them up to date!

Meet Dixie. She's the new resident LGD. I think I really got lucky with her. She's a doll and she hangs with the flock all the time. She can't stand it when I work dogs so I have to put her up in her place. If left in the barn she figures a way out!

Just a few nice shots of Bree working. It's hard to take pictures when handling a dog!
